Using Port Scan

Introduction

Port Scanning lets you check what services are listening on a network and is useful for making sure no service ports are open that shouldn't be. Internet firewalls block most ports that may be accessible from the Internet but this Port Scan can connect to your wireless service behind the firewall and scan open ports inside your intranet. You can also do a port scan from a 3G or EDGE network to test what ports are open from the Internet.

Port Scanning:
To start a port scan enter the host address or IP address of the device to Port Scan. Press the <Start Quick Scan> button to begin a scan for the most common open ports. Press the <Start Full Scan> button to do a more through port scan. Use the <Abort Scan> button to abort a scan at any time.
